If you need multiple attacks to bring down an enemy which you often will then rabies chops away at that combination, so enemy survives another turn, so you get hit another turn adds up. like situational you know, but not like 'oh okay rabies i won't even blink ha ha' more like 'hm wow can I really afford to have rabies on this hero seriously' like if you have Natural Eye and stuff hey you know maybe. Lower levels you can use armor to survive and load on acc and speed trinkets but champion you gotta think a lot more about maybe using dodge or defensive trinkets so figure out if you're going with overequipped overstattted plus acc/speed bonuses in apprentice/veteran then switching to not so hot acc on champion then pile rabies on top.
